Process Development Engineer, Lund

If so, this role may be exactly what you are looking for. We are looking for a Process Development Engineer to join our Global Supply Chain team in Lund. In this role, you will play a central part in developing, harmonizing, and driving efficiency projects across our Configuration and Logistics Centers (CLCs) worldwide, ensuring our global fulfillment network is built to scale and meet future customer expectations.

Who is your future team?
Operations is the part of Axis’ organization that is responsible for the supply and distribution of our products. You will join the Process Development Team within Axis Fulfillment organization. Our team consists of 9 dedicated professionals who govern and optimize the fulfillment processes across our 8 CLCs globally. We are responsible for setting global standards, driving process innovation, and collaborating closely with our 3PL partners and cross-functional teams across Operations to ensure world-class delivery performance.

What you’ll do as Process Development Engineer
As a Process Development Engineer, you will focus on the design, optimization, and scaling of our global fulfillment processes. Rather than firefighting daily operational tickets, your focus will be on identifying root causes, standardizing workflows, and leading end-to-end process development initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Drive process development & design: Map "as-is" processes, define efficient "to-be" workflows, and establish global standards across our CLC network (e.g., inbound, picking, packaging, kitting/configuration, and inventory control).
• Lead improvement projects: Initiate, manage, and implement continuous improvement and automation projects that increase capacity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Bridge operations & IT/systems: Collaborate with IT and system owners to translate operational process needs into clear system requirements (ERP/WMS/MPS), driving process automation and data integrity.
• Root cause & performance analysis: Analyze performance metrics and recurring bottlenecks across sites, using Lean/Six Sigma tools to drive preventive, structural solutions.
• Documentation & governance: Create, structure, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and training frameworks to ensure sustainable adherence across external 3PL partners.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders—such as Quality, Sourcing, Logistics Planning, and IT—to ensure fulfillment processes remain fully aligned with our end-to-end supply chain vision.
  

Who are we looking for/Who are you?
You are analytical, structured, and curious, with an eye for both the holistic supply chain picture and the practical process details. You enjoy turning complex workflows into clear, repeatable standards and have the communication skills to influence and engage teams across different cultures and functions.

You are proactive and take initiative to drive change, comfortable navigating between strategic improvements and hands-on process engineering. You enjoy collaborating with external partners (3PLs) and understand how to build robust, scalable processes in a fast-paced, growing organization.

We also expect you to have:

• BSc or MSc in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of documented experience in process development, logistics engineering, or continuous improvement within supply chain/warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/WMS/MPS systems (familiarity with IFS or modern ERP solutions is a strong plus).
• Proven track record of applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
• Experience working with outsourced 3PL operations or global multi-site fulfillment networks.
• Professional fluency in English and Swedish, both verbal and written.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10–20 days per year).
